Poor crocuses kinda ruffled by the winds today.

A pair of lavender-colored, pink-striped crocuses, their six petals wide open, their bright orange centers exposed, looking slightly ruffled from a day of strong winds, blooming in a garden bed among some dried leaves, twigs, and green sage plants.

Enjoying this second flush of wildflowers in the château garden.

We were asked for #GardenEscapes this week for #WildflowerHour. Lots of escaped Primroses in the #ForestOfDean yesterday, growing in streets near houses that had them planted in their gardens. This one at the old #Lydney Town station looks to be a garden variety with its deeper colour. #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers

Last year the crown went about halfway around. There were buds all the way around but they only opened on one side. This year I have a full crown on thorns.
