It's not any more, but this morning I've been working on the project box for my toolpost grinder project.

I modeled a quick bounding box for my lighted momentary contact push button switch (energizes the power supply), and grabbed STEP files for switches (on-off and spindle direction) and potentiometer (spindle speed), and a special call-out to Nelson Stoldt for putting a FreeCAD rendering of GX12 aviation plugs on grabcad that I used for the connection to my spindle.

Then I arranged them until they looked good to me, and made a panel and box around them, making sure that I have room for all the wires I need.

I'm not quite done yet, because I have to work out how the box mounts to my lathe and what cable holes I need to connect to the control box, but I think that the hard work is done. And because I'm using the development version of FreeCAD, the work was much less hard than it would otherwise have been, particularly due to PaddleStroke's great work on improving the sketcher. ❤️
